These terms and conditions apply to all parties at Hickory Dickory’s Playhouse Play Centres.
All parties are subject to a minimum payment of 10 children and a deposit of £50 (£100 for double party rooms when a minimum payment of 28 places applies). The deposit is refundable only in the event of cancellation more than 4 weeks before the party. The balance of the party payment (i.e. the full party payment taking into account the deposit paid) is required no later than 4 days before the party and is non refundable.
Parties are not confirmed until payment of the deposit is received. Payment is taken by credit/debit card or cash. Through payment of the deposit you are deemed to have accepted our party terms and conditions.
Our normal practice is to confirm the party booking (usually by email) around 7 – 14 days before the party.
Without the balance of the party payment being settled no later than 4 days before the party we may be unable to host your party. Please note that in the event of cancellation of the party on or after the due date for full payment you remain liable for a minimum payment of 10 places (20 places for a double party).
It is normally possible to accommodate a few extra party places on the day (subject to space and catering resources etc). Extra places need to be paid for at the start of the party.
We can refund up to 2 places in the event of no shows on the day (subject always to a minimum payment of 10 places, or 28 for a double party room booking).
Postponement and Cancellations
Our refund policy is explained above. If it is necessary to postpone a party we will of course try to best accommodate you with a new date.
On the Day
We do not charge our adult admission cover charge for adults accompanying children attending a party nor for adults who are close relatives of the party child. Children who come to the centre who have not been paid for as attending the party will be charged separate admission.
Please come to reception shortly before your party time. We recommend that on busy days especially, you and your guests give yourselves extra time to park in either our car park or surrounding roads where permitted. Please do not park in areas belonging to neighbouring businesses (unless they allow you to do so) or houses or park causing an obstruction to them or pedestrians.
Please note that it is usually necessary for the party tent/room to be vacated promptly at the end of the 2 hour booking time.
The party organiser (i.e. the person making the party booking) is responsible for communicating any changes regarding the party. The party organiser is also responsible (in the absence of the children’s parents or guardians) for the supervision of the children at the party and for making sure that all the children at the party are collected safely before leaving themselves. Please also note that a ratio of 1 adult to 5 children is required at the party and all other rules of entry and play (click here) apply to guests including the age and height restrictions for access to the play frames.
Please note that some aspects of the parties may vary without prior notice.
Party bookings and those attending remain subject to the centre’s rules of entry & play including age and height restrictions, the wearing of socks, and no food and drink being brought into the centre from outside (except for the birthday cake and specific baby food).
Please remember that children at the party must be supervised by, and remain the responsibility of their parents/guardians or in their absence the party organiser (i.e. the person who has booked the party or who is the main party organiser on the day) as their temporary guardian. Food Allergies and Special Needs
It is your responsibility to inform us of any food allergies or other important facts concerning the children and adult guests attending your party. Please speak to our duty manager about the ingredients in your party meal at the time of your booking.
